3 Must Do Things To Avoid Child Meltdowns At Disney

3 Must Do Things To Avoid Child Meltdowns At Disney

  1. Snacks - BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS!! Here is why, you’re of course gonna buy snacks there too , but lots of the things you’ll buy as snacks for the kids throughout the parks are treats. And the last thing you need is your kids running on sugar all day. My biggest tip is bring some protein snacks you know they’ll eat and enjoy. It takes a TON of energy to walk around the parks and do a full day at Disney, you don’t need a hangry kiddo who is low on energy. It’s wonderful that Disney lets us bring food in, maybe Walt knew us parents would need to.

  2. Take a break. Staying on property is IDEAL for this, you’re quickly able to head back to your room for a little nap and rest during the day. If you’re not staying on property, find some shade and take some breaks from all the running around. The parents who drag their kids around and run them ragged are usually the ones with disastrous kiddos at the end of the night.

  3. Make sure to budget in lightning lane passes! It’s roughly between $20-35 per person per day. And it’s 10/10 worth it, especially if you know how to use it correctly (if you’re a client of mine you’ll receive a guide and my help). Spending your day in lines is probably going to be frustrating for everyone. Kiddos don’t have the same patience that adults have, and even for adults it’s easy to lose patience in the lines at Disney.   Lightning Lane passes are a game-changer because they let you skip the majority of those waits and actually spend your day making memories—riding more rides, seeing more shows, and soaking up the magic instead of keeping your kiddos entertained in a queue. It’s truly the difference between a stressful day and a smooth, joy-filled Disney experience. Also ask your agent about the new Premier Pass, if you’ve got a high budget for your Disney trip, you might love this new addition!
